Who is responsible for your data
kitfit, 8-12 Alder Hills, Poole, BH12 4AL, is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: [contact email].
kitfit is in research and development and isn't trading yet. Once it is registered, [the legal entity, once registered] will be the controller.
What kitfit holds, and where it comes from
Most of it comes from your AI assistant, acting for you, or from you directly.
- Your details: your name and contact details, postcode and delivery address.
- Your room: the survey your AI sends -- measurements, what the walls are made of, where the doors, windows, sockets, pipes and radiators are. A scan of the room can include images and a 3D record of your home.
- Your design: the layout, choices, quotes and orders.
- What your AI sends kitfit: every message between your AI and kitfit's service is logged, with kitfit's replies. This is only what your AI sends to kitfit, not the rest of your conversation with it.
- Messages to kitfit's team, from you or your AI.
- While testing: your invitation, with the name you were invited under; the chat logs and feedback you upload on the feedback page, which may contain anything you said to your AI, including details of other people; and your AI's notes on how the process went.
- Visiting the website: each request is logged with the page and the browser or crawler's name. The website sets no cookies (see cookies). Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the site, handles your IP address.
What you share with your AI is also governed by your AI provider's own terms and privacy policy, which kitfit does not control.
Why kitfit uses it, and on what basis
- To quote, take and fulfil orders, deliver and support them: the contract with you, or the steps you ask for before one.
- To run the test service and improve kitfit from it, including its guidance to AI assistants: kitfit's legitimate interest in developing its service.
- To keep the service secure and working: kitfit's legitimate interest.
- To keep business, tax and accounting records: legal obligation.
kitfit does not send marketing.
Automated checks
kitfit's checks of a layout against the room, and its quotes, are worked out automatically. Where one needs a person, kitfit's team checks it, and you can ask for a person to review any automated result.
Who kitfit shares it with
- The businesses that make and deliver your kit, and payment and email providers, only as they need it to do so: [the processors and suppliers, once chosen].
- Cloudflare, which delivers the website and service. Cloudflare is based in the United States: [the safeguard for that transfer].
- kitfit's service runs on kitfit's own server: [where it is hosted].
kitfit does not sell personal data.
How long kitfit keeps it
- Quotes, designs and surveys that don't become orders: [retention period].
- Orders and their records: as long as the law requires for tax and accounting records, [retention period].
- Test service logs, uploads and feedback: [retention period].
- Website request logs: [retention period].
